SCRABBLE is a word game in which two to four players score points by placing tiles, each bearing a single letter, onto a gameboard. The tiles must form words which flow left to right in rows or downwards in columns. The game contains 100 tiles, 98 of which are marked with a letter and a point value ranging from 1 to 10. The number of points of each lettered tile is based on the letter's frequency in standard English writing; commonly used letters such as vowels are worth one point, while less common letters score higher, with Q and Z each worth 10 points. The game also has two blank tiles that are unmarked and carry no point value. The words must be defined in a standard dictionary. The game ‘SCRABBLE’ was created in the USA in 1938. 
There was a competition at our school on 18th March 2019 in the honour of ST. PATRICK’S DAY (the patron saint of IRELAND). The three teams of seven graders (VII1 , VII2 & VII3) competed in this marvellous game. VII2 won the competition. 
St. Patrick’s Day occurs annually on March 17 in observance of the death of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. What began as a religious feast day in the 17th century has evolved into a variety of festivals across the globe celebrating Irish culture with parades, special foods, music, dancing, and a whole lot of green.
